Una Sera Alla Stanza del Vino in Palo Alto

Ieri sera, ho andato al bar che si chiama, The Wine Room, in Palo Alto per vedere il mio amico Koffi. Koffi é stato via per alcune settimane con sulla famiglia in vacanza alle Oregon. Lui ha visitato una regione del vino in Oregon per vedere e assagiare i vini di Pinot Noir e Pinot Grigio. Le uve di Pinot sono molto populare in Oregon e secondo lui no le piace i vini di Pinot Noir che ha provato in Oregon. Invece, lui le piace molto i vini di Pinot Grigio.

Alla Stanza del Vino (The Wine Room), Koffi, la mia amica Jenice, ed io, abbiamo provato un vino che io ho scelto dalla lista. Era una bottiglia del vino de una regione nuova per mi in España che si chiama Utiel-Requena vicino a Valencia. Il vino che ho scelto era una miscela di Cabernet Sauvignon e Merlot ed era da 1999 e un gran reserva (Torre Oria). Allora, ho pensato che sarebbe una buona scelta. Dopo di uno sorso, tutti di noi abbiamo pensato era un buon vino. Ho pensato che un vino con Merlot da molti anni fa avrebbe un buon sapore con molto frutta e colore. Sorprendentemente, la quantitá del alcol era un po’ di meno che avrei pensato per il vino con Cab e Merlot, dato che era solo 12.5% alcol.

Anche, sorprendentemente, Koffi mi ha dato due bottiglie di vini per provare. E ero grato di lui per i regali. E in due settimane, lui avrá un gusto dei vini al suo bar del vino in Half Moon Bay. E sono eccitato per andare e assaggiare sui nuovi vini. Fino ad allora, potrei provare sul vino che mi ha dato e scrivergli.

In Inglese: Last night, I went to the bar called, The Wine Room in Palo Alto to see my friend Koffi. Koffi has been away for several weeks with the family on vacation in Oregon. He visited a wine region in Oregon to see and taste the wines of Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio. Pinot grapes are very popular in Oregon and according to him, he did not like the wines of Pinot Noir that has tried in Oregon. Instead, he liked the Pinot Gris wines.

At La Stanza del Vino (Wine Room), Koffi, my friend Jenice, and I, we tried a wine that I chose from the list. It was a bottle of wine from a region new to me in Spain called Utiel-Requena near Valencia. The wine I chose was a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and it was from 1999 and a gran reserva (Torre Oria). So, I thought it would be a good choice. After one sip, all of us we thought was a good wine. I thought that a wine with Merlot many years ago would taste good with lots of fruit and color. Surprisingly, the amount of alcohol was a bit ‘less than I would have thought for wine of Cab and Merlot, as it was only 12.5% alcohol.

Also, surprisingly, Koffi gave me two bottles of wine to try. And I was grateful to him for gifts. And in two weeks, he will have a taste of the wines in his wine bar in Half Moon Bay. And I excited to go and taste the new wines. Until then, I might try the wine that gave me and write about them.
